maybe part of the issue is that some directors, etc., are afraid to portray a fully human black woman for fear that any weakness will be perceived as discriminatory? But it's important to give us complete characters, with both normal strength and weakness. One thing I loved about the series Picard was that the black female character had real issues that evoked our compassion for her, as well as having strong skills, intelligence, etc.
