Her back had been really causing a lot of pain. The vibration helped!

Mom on the Vibration Plate

After I got type IV cancer in 2004, I was given 6 months to live. One reason I’m still alive today — I did a lot of research on both alternative and allopathic therapies.

I read about vibration plates during this time. Let me be clear — these will not cure or treat cancer! However, they do help with some of the common side effects of cancer and cancer treatment — increased muscle atrophy, lack of lymph flow, and pain.

According to articles I read, Russian cosmonauts used vibration plates to help preserve their muscles while in space.

When I first started chemotherapy, I was mostly bedridden. My husband would have me sit on a rebounder which he bounced with his foot to help keep my circulation going.

A few years later, a chiropractor friend remodeled his office. He bought a new vibration machine and sold us his old one. This is not just a plate, but has an upright portion that you can hold on to for balance if you need it. This was really important for me when I was particularly weak, and now, it’s making it a lot easier for my mother.
