My Cancer Markers Keep Trending Down

Even though I have refused to do chemo since October of 2023

I decided in mid-October that I didn’t want to do any more chemotherapy.

My body was not coping with the treatment any more. The long term side effects included neuropathy which has created balance issues and difficulty using my hands. I have also had other issues such as pain and nausea.

These are things the chemo caused because it is a very aggressive way to fight cancer, and there are long lists of side effects with every chemo drug.

Now, I was diagnosed with metastatic brain, lung, and liver cancer in April of 2021. I had a lemon sized tumor surgically removed from my brain. The surgeon, in my follow up visit, told me I had about 6 months to live, and that the last couple of months I’d be in hospice. That was based on his experience with other patients with my type of cancer.

Yet it’s now late March of 2024, so it’s been almost 3 years since he made his prediction. At one point, the cancer metastasied to my bones.

Yet, at the last PET scan, in February — I had no cancer in my lungs, brain or liver and two of the three lesions in my bones had shrunk. My last chemo was in October. I have refused to take it since I had an extremely bad reaction to the…
