Not sure if he was as bad as this article claims BUT... he wasn't a good person in many ways. There are many historical figures I admire such as Benjamin Franklin or Gandhi that also had dark facets. This is because they are human beings. It's OK to admire the good stuff while admitting that these were actual flawed human beings.
I do wish in Einstein's case that his wife had been given more credit for her contributions. All too often in prior eras, a woman would help her husband but not receive any acknowledgement. The reason it matters - then misogynists use this to denigrate women's intellect, skills, etc. This is not to take credit away from men but to point out that women hold up half the sky, too.
