Not sure you are open minded enough for an in-depth philosophical discussion. Have you read the Old Testament? (or the Torah?) What insights do you find in the story of King David and why do you disagree with my interpretation?

BTW, you don't have to be a Christian or even believe in God in order to have an interesting discussion re. the Bible. Part of being an intellectual and open-minded is to take a step back and try on someone else's shoes.

For example, I'm not a Hindu, but I have read the major texts and can discuss from that perspective. It's an interesting thought exercise that actually sheds light on my own belief system. I have friends of many different philosophical persuasions, from hard core Randians to Wiccans to atheists, and I like to ask questions and learn.
