One thing that amazes some Indian immigrants - NOT bargaining when shopping for groceries, etc. In India, everyone haggles at the market!

I personally prefer the way we do it here (or used to) - people only haggle over big ticket items like houses and cars. For groceries, clothes, etc., you just pay the listed price. Sure, there are sales and coupons, but the system seems fair, or at least it used to.
