People Stick Weird Stuff Up Their Butts
Truth really is stranger than fiction
On the 21st of December, an 88-year-old French Man walked into a hospital with a WWI artillery shell stuck up his rectum. The unfired round is eight inches long and over two inches wide. His arrival sparked a bomb scare. People were evacuated.
However, bomb disposal experts determined that there was little risk of the shell exploding inside the man, and doctors were successfully able to remove the device.

Reading about this incident prompted me to do a little more reading on what people will stick up their butts, apparently voluntarily.
In December of 2021, the bomb squad was called when a British man went to a hospital with a WWII shell stuck up his butt. He claimed he fell on it while cleaning his house.
ER doctors have reported a variety of other objects that people have stuck up their butts, and while people usually claim it’s accidental, it’s usually not.
