Reading more about the incident - the black man (also named Cooper!) was a bird watcher. Many bird watchers ask people to leash their dog. The proper thing for Amy Cooper to do was to leash her dog when she was asked to do so. After all, that's the law.

The one thing that Mr. Cooper did that was questionable - according to his own narrative, he offered Ms. Cooper's dog some treats. She MIGHT have thought he was trying to poison her dog. Which would have accounted for her hysteria. If I thought someone was going to hurt one of my pets, I'd get emotional too.

However, again, the proper response - put your dog on a leash and walk away.

If Mr. Cooper had been white, would Ms. Cooper have called the cops, or would she just have walked away?

What makes this amusing, Ms. Cooper is probably a card-carrying Democrat and liberal. If she is, she's a hypocrite.
