Right Wing Jerk Insults Me

I should have just disengaged…

I consider myself to be a traditional liberal. When it comes to the environment and science, I think we need to be aware and policy should be based on actual data.

This led me to a disagreement with a right wing jerk.

Note: I have friends who lean Republican (though a lot of them left the party after Trump got elected.) We can disagree politely because they are reasonable people. Mostly, we avoid politics, but when it comes up, I know we will have an interesting discussion. Often we end up agreeing on a lot more than we disagree. Unfortunately, not everyone is like this.

I casually mentioned in an online group that I only bought pastured meat because I did not approve of what factory farms do to the animals and the environment. Plus it’s not good for one’s health.

Some frothing-at-the-mouth type decided to call me names and tell me I favored mass starvation because WE NEED FACTORY FARMS.

Which is not true.

I like to do actual research. So I sent him links to reputable scientific journals based on real studies conducted by places like Stanford. I sent him my links along with the following points:
