I was watching Joe Rogan today. I don’t often do that, but today’s interview was super interesting. Here’s a link if you want to watch for yourself.

According to Rogan’s guest, Dave Smith, Ukraine and Russia had negotiated a peace that was acceptable to both sides. The terms? The Donbass region (which has a majority of people of Russian origin) would get autonomy and Ukraine would not join NATO. In return, Russia would leave Ukraine and there would be peace between both sides.

Interestingly, back in 2015, the majority ethnic Russian parts of the Donbass region voted to join Russia. At that time Russia didn’t take them but now apparently it wants to.

According to Smith, the U.S. stepped in to prevent the peace deal between Ukraine and Russia.

Why would we interfere in negotiations between two sovereign countries? Did we actually do this or is Rogan’s guest blowing smoke up our you-know-what?

None of this would matter except there is now talk of a possible nuclear conflict.

Nuclear war would be very bad. Duh.

Who the heck is rooting for nuclear war? It’s the worst possible outcome for everyone.
