Sanford committed a horrible crime and deserved to be punished BUT... 170 years??? For a13 year old?

And the question that comes to mind... how had the system already failed him when he committed the crime? Was he abused? Neglected? Too many kids are treated like garbage.

Also, there are cases of white kids who commit murder - and they are not locked up for 170 years. Racism at work?
