Maybe my experience can help you resolve your IRS issues with less pain

I recently wrote about how frustrated I was dealing with the IRS. Just getting through to them was impossible.

However, to be fair, in the past, when I’ve actually gotten through to an agent, they tend to be very helpful. One thing to remember — IRS agents are people too. Remaining calm and polite goes a long way with them. Remember, they are professionals and most seem to want to be helpful if you are not a jerk. So, don’t be a jerk no matter how frustrated you are.

And trust me, trying to get through IS frustrating.

These days, even calling first thing in the morning doesn’t seem to work.

The other day I finally got put on a hold where they said they would answer the phone within half an hour. An hour later, we got disconnected.

Very frustrating.

But, today, a tax advocacy group in my area called me back and answered all of my questions, free of charge.

This particular group is only available for those below a certain income level. However, if you are making a good income, you can afford a tax accountant. The advocacy group is geared towards helping those who cannot afford…
