I am glad you got things sorted out. I was reading something about Scotland I wanted to share with you. I read that in the 1800s it was better for women there than in England. One example, Scottish women kept control of their own property after marriage while English women did not. I want to so more research on this.

Also, I hope you can write more because you are a brilliant writer. I think you are better than I am and I look forward to reading anything you have the time and interest in writing.
