Liberal Plantation is a term that was coined (I can't remember where I first heard it) to express the tendency of some liberals (not all, obviously) to "punish" people who express thoughts that are contrary to what is considered acceptable progressive viewpoints.

What makes this insidious - someone who is a liberal can be banished for just one comment that is deemed unacceptable. Whoopi Goldberg, for example... She was just suspended for 2 weeks whereas some people have their careers destroyed by one slip up. What stunned me is that her colleagues on The View did not defend her. I mean, they work with her and surely they know she's not an anti-Semite? But none leaped to her defense?
