Thanks for responding.

In the United States, if you go to a private university, you are on the hook for the entire amount. If you take out student loans, you have to pay them back.

This is not like K-12, which is free for all children.

My objection is specifically to cancelling student loan debt. The bills still need to be paid and that puts poor people on the line for higher education choices made by those who are rich or are going to be rich.

Just my POV, though. There are probably good arguments either way...
