Thanks for sharing your perspective. You make a good point. And if you are brainwashed from the time you are a kid... it's going to be much harder to get out of what is essentially a cult.

I am really glad you got out of a horrible situation and very sorry that you suffered. I am glad that you are in a better place now. I really wish we as a culture did a better job of protecting young people.

For me, Christianity meant freedom because of Christ - He empowered the women he encountered and always respected the choices people made. He wasn't about forcing people to do anything. Can you imagine Christ hitting a little child or forcing his wife to do something she hated? It's inconceivable.

Yet "Christian" authority figures get drunk on their power trips and do so much damage.

These men who use the Bible to justify their tyranny are really nothing but narcissistic boy children. They need to be exposed whenever possible.
