Thanks for sharing your viewpoint!

My experience is very different from yours...

Most of the men I know are actually pretty helpful. Yesterday one of the guys from my church came over to show me where my water cutoff valve was, and he gave me a wrench 'cause he had a spare.

I'm dating two guys. They are not super romantic in the sense of giving jewelry but they are both helpful and kind which is more important. I started dating them before my cancer came back, but one always cooked me dinner while the other insists on paying for all our meals. Since I got cancer, they became more sweet.

Then there is my 12 year old neighbor. After my surgery, I was unable to mow my lawn and due to the cancer, I am broke as I can't work and have medical bills.

So my neighbor mows my lawn when he mows his parents' yard. And he won't take a penny for doing it though I've offered several times.

"My Mom won't let me take the money" he says, but he makes it clear he's cool with that. So I get around that by giving him treats like a pint of ice-cream. Because I want to show him I appreciate him. :-)
