That is the thing that makes my blood boil — that we have genetically engineered these poor animals so they have an expiration date that is so much shorter than their natural lives should be. That and we torture them on factory farms.

I’m OK with the cycle of life. Lions kill on the veldt. I have respect for a hunter that goes out and stalks a deer (not a deer blind) to provide food for his family and then processes the animal himself, not wasting anything. But to take innocent animals and lock them in miserable condition where their lungs are scarred from breathing the fumes from their own excreta, which is what happens to poor chickens, or where babies are torn from mothers hours after birth which is what happens to cows, that is just so monstrous I can’t support it no matter what.

I am having a vegan Thanksgiving this year.
