this article made me sick and made me want to cry. But I'm glad I read it. There are much better ways to conserve these magnificent species besides killing them. Obviously. And the type of personality that would glory in this barbarism... I would never want to know any of these people. It seems a sort of sickness, particularly something like a canned hunt, which is just so unfair and wrong.

I have actually known people who grew up poor who did hunt and fish for the pot. They also generally grew gardens with plenty of vegetables. I can understand hunting to survive. I have no problems with modern day hunter-gatherers such as the Inuit or Bushmen. I have a huge problem with bored rich kids thinking it somehow makes them men to destroy a magnificent animal.
