This is a disaster. Instead of paying $600 for a mattress, for example, that you can use for 10 years, we can pay $200 a year for the same mattress... costing $2000 over the 10 years. Same with everything else.

This was how feudalism worked. Serfs didn't own the land they farmed. They "rented" it. They didn't own their homes either. This was a huge reason for the misery of the Irish during the Great Famine. Our overlords profit while we suffer. Will we suffer in silence, though, or will we have a revolution?
