This is a good article.

I remember asking my ex husband once about if he’d ever been bullied and he just clammed up.

What makes it harder on men, they are not only expected to protect themselves, but also their families. It’s expected a man will be the first in the line of fire. Even if his wife is the primary wage-earner or in better physical shape…

Also, in some situations, it is the woman who domestically abuses her partner.

While we take it more seriously to some extent when women are attacked by men because women tend to be physically smaller and weaker, that doesn’t mean that male on male violence or female on male violence aren’t serious issues.

I think male violence IS a serious issue but male victims also need to be heard and helped.

I consider myself a feminist, but to me that means I want a world where both men and women feel safe, have opportunities and freedom and can make the choices they want. I don’t believe in a shrinking pie, I believe that the more we help each other, the more pie there will be for everyone… :-)
