This is a really good point. If your hourly rate is quite high then it makes more financial sense to work an extra hour rather than spend that time cooking. This assumes you can easily add billable hours.

For myself, I cook partly because I like it and partly because I think it’s healthier and better for the environment. I make sure to use healthy ingredients that are locally sourced. Even though I buy organic, I still spend less per month on food than I would if I ate out.

If you hate to cook though then maybe it’s not worth the savings!
