This is not true if you take it seriously and read profiles and take the time to talk to people, get to know them, etc., before you meet for a date. Most people don’t want to bother, which is great, you weed out the ones who are just swiping. I actually wrote a detailed profile and read other peoples’ profiles to try to find people with whom I had common interests and a real connection.

Ultimately that is what is most important — emotional connection. Beauty fades and someone can lose their money, but if you connect on a deep level then that is real.
