This is why I'm against vaccine mandates - because one size does NOT fit all.

For a young, healthy, 20 year old male - there is a higher risk of myocarditis from the vaccine then the risk of death by COVID. If you look at the actual statistics on who dies from COVID - a child is more likely to be struck by lightening than to die of COVID.

HOWEVER, older people (over 55) and those with pre-existing conditions such as diabetes need to get vaccinated since for them there is real risk. This is all based on statistics and data.

As far as unvaccinated spreading COVID - anyone who has COVID needs to self-quarantine. But vaccinated people are more likely to be asymptomatic, so they are actually more likely to spread COVID because they may not realize they have it.

According to the New York Times, about 1 in 5000 people who got COVID died from it. Compare that to the death from smallpox (1 in 3) or the Spanish flu (1 in 50).
