Interestingly, a couple of years ago, Trump said at a UN meeting that Germany was too dependent on Russian gas. The video of this is available online. Of course everyone laughed at him.

When the Ukraine was invaded, Europe rushed to enforce sanctions on Russia. Did they not realize that Putin would retaliate? Now Russia is selling its gas to willing buyers in Asia instead of Europe.

I am surprised that France is hurting so badly, however, because I know France gets a lot of its power from its nuclear plants....
