This makes me so sad. Christ does not care what race you are, the nuns should have embraced you just as you are.

I am a Christian and my (Protestant) church embraces people of all colors but it wasn't always that way. 30 years ago I remember seeing signs of racism that really bothered me, and I felt compelled to speak out a few times. The good thing is that churches have evolved and changed, but it takes time and in the interim much damage is done. I am so sorry that you experienced racism.
