This really touched me for some reason. I wonder if it’s possible for you to remain friends with Chris, particularly if your father’s breakup was civil?

I am still in touch with my ex’s family on FB. Recently I mentioned I might be in Oregon, where his sister lives, and she suggested meeting for lunch.

The important thing is we respect boundaries. We never talk about my ex, except for the occasional happy reminiscence. I respect their loyalty to him and make sure I don’t cross that line.

Maybe this is weird. But divorce can be weird.
