This was an interesting article but... thanks to Covid, many people no longer go to an office. I remember when I first started telecommuting. My productivity went up but management was reluctant... now Covid has forced them to allow it. Most of my friends either don't go to the office at all or only do it a couple of days a week.

So this evolution is going to reduce many of the problems with urban sprawl.

As someone who grew up in NYC but has also lived in rural areas and in suburbs... many people like the suburbs and in a free society they should make their own choices as long as they pay the costs themselves. That is the real issue - people need to take responsibility and pay for their own choices, not expect others to foot the bill.
