Torturing These Innocents Needs to Stop

It is not serving any purpose aside from harming them

Imagine living your whole life in a small and dark cage. Alone. Of having part of your brain removed and having a rod drilled into your skull. Of being constantly terrified. Of being deprived of food and water so you will cooperate.

If this happened to murderers on death row, we’d be outraged.

Yet this is happening every day in a laboratory in the United States.

The total cost to you and other American taxpayers? $47 million.

In 2019 alone, 132 monkeys were subject to neuropsychological experiments. The site is the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), in Bethesda, Maryland. The person in charge of the lab? Elisabeth Murray.

She calls herself a scientist, but in the 30 years she has been conducting her horrific experiments, not one treatment or cure for humans has been found.

Murray even acknowledged in a 2007 paper that her experiments are flawed.

Yet she continues to cause extreme harm and trauma to the animals. They all suffer from permanent brain damage. They are alone. They are frightened…
