Um, whatever happened to live and let live? Don't get me wrong, I prefer to live in liberal places too. I grew up in New York City.

However, I also believe in leaving people alone. Let everyone find their own bliss. That is why many immigrant groups congregate in their own neighborhoods - it's not racism but comfort. When I lived in NYC, I had Greek friends who were mostly living in Astoria. They went to the same Orthodox church, etc.

Originally the states all had their own origins and culture. I personally think it's great to have diversity. Diversity of thought as well as everything else.

There is no reason that liberal states can't pass laws that represent their voters while conservative states pass laws that represent them. Why do we need to become one amorphous blob where everything is the same?

I prefer when people have more choices, not less.
