Was Dr. Fauci’s Advice Worth His Salary?
US death rates vs. those in South Korea, Sweden, and the world
According to Forbes, Dr. Anthony Fauci was the highest paid federal employee in 2019. His salary that year exceeded the President’s by over $17,000. Was he worth the money?
Let me be clear that COVID-19 WAS serious. People died. Many who got COVID and recovered are still fighting the effects of “long COVID”. There is NO question that a response to the pandemic was needed. However, were the strategies advocated by Dr. Fauci, Dr. Deborah Birx, etc., the right ones?
Dr. Fauci was the White House’s Chief Medical Advisor under both Presidents Trump and Biden; Dr. Birx was the Coronavirus Response Coordinator.
The Wall Street Journal pointed out the failures of the lockdowns while they and CDC Director Walensky seemed to be doubling down on the strategy.
Let’s consider the results of following their advice.
The United States has 4% of the world’s population, yet it had 14% of the world’s COVID deaths. In fact, it has the highest death toll of any nation in the world.
So, were lockdowns a good idea?
Let’s take a look at two other countries — South Korea and Sweden.
