Way To Improve The Big Bang Theory
Suggestions made by a geek, for geeks
Back in 2014, I wrote a post about how the Big Bang Theory had changed. I thought the first few seasons were somewhat realistic and fairly compelling but the series declined after about the 3rd or 4th season in my point of view. Part of the issue stemmed in an attempt, I think, to attract a larger audience by appealing more to “normal” people, but that showed a disloyalty to the natural fan base. JMHO
Below are some of the suggestions for the series I made 8 years ago. Have these comments stood the test of time? I think so. Hopefully these will be geek-approved!
Ways to improve the Big Bang Theory:
1) Bring Leslie Winkle back.
2) Sheldon and Amy’s relationship has jumped the shark. I am actually not sure what to do about this one. I really like Amy’s character, so I don’t want her eliminated, but it makes no sense for Sheldon to have a gf.
3) Amy’s character originally was very realistically geeky and not a needy girlfriend. That changed for the worse. Amy used to be more like a cat. She needs to be feline again.
4) They guys should be spending less time visiting the comic book store or worrying about relationship problems and more time creating unique geeky devices…
