We spay and neuter pets for a reason...

I personally believe justice should be blind. all children, regardless of gender, gender identity, race, religion, etc., should be raised with love and respect and should not be abused. so yes, spay and neuter to prevent abuse.

The problem - what if one particular race or ethnic group or religious group is more represented among those being sterilized? In our current climate, it won't matter how much evidence you have that the people in question violently abuse children. you'll still be called a racist or anti-religious or whatever.
