Well, people can ASK... and bridezillas often do ask for totally outrageous things. But a hijab is not a fashion accessory. It's part of her faith.

There are places in the world, such as Saudi Arabia, which does not allow other faiths (Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.) to be practiced. Many Islamic countries are very harsh towards non-Muslims. I don't think this is OK, however, I am not a citizen of those countries.

I am a citizen of the United States and I don't support a tit-for-tat. Just because they won't let you wear a cross or star of David in their countries doesn't mean we sacrifice our liberal values to get back at them. Muslims in America should have all the same protections as any other citizens.

I do not support forcing anyone to go against their conscious. I'm a classic liberal and this is just not OK.
