stop buying food. stop paying for internet or cable. don't pay for his cell phone. at some point he'll get off his butt.

I learned from having a few bad roommates - never move in with a roommate unless you have a contract and everything is specified. my personal philosophy - never move in with a guy unless you are married. of course, that wouldn't necessarily protect you in this case... sigh.
