When _I_ expect more from men, they deliver. Men that I date take good care of me.

Just as an example, I recently got back from a trip with a guy, and I asked him if he would mind bringing my dirty clothes home for me since he had more room in his bag. When he came over to drop them off, he'd washed and neatly folded them for me. I never asked him to do this.

Obviously my experience is different from yours. Maybe I'm just lucky.
