why can't a woman who is raped take the morning after pill? it's legal and often offered with the rape kit. If that is not possible for whatever reason, then why not schedule the abortion early in the pregnancy?

I'm not anti-abortion but once the fetus has a heart beat, brain waves and can feel pain - it's not longer just a clump of cells, it's a baby and it also has rights. Responsible women use birth control or, if they are raped or accidentally get pregnant, they schedule the abortion early in the pregnancy.

It makes no sense to wait until the third trimester because abortion at that state can be dangerous for the health of the mother as well as killing a baby that is viable outside the womb.
