Why did we get Biden instead of Bernie?

Does our supposedly representative system actually represent us?

Our President is old and frail. It’s painful to watch him answer reporters’ questions. I’ve been watching SkyNews and other international news instead of American sites because they focus on something besides what flavor ice-cream Biden likes. The foreign press is more likely to show the appalled reaction of other world leaders to the cognitive decline of the leader of the free world.

Now is a dangerous time to have our leader be less than 100%.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a Trumpster.

But, let’s look back at the Presidential field we had in 2020.

We had the incredibly sharp Elizabeth Warren. We had Andrew Yang, a guy with a ton of great ideas who could reach across the aisle and talk to working class folks as well as the upper-middle class. We had a woman of impeachable integrity in Tulsi Gabbard.

And then… there was Bernie.

Bernie would have won in a landslide, I think.

And despite the predictions of disaster if we’d gotten the Democratic socialist — all you have to do is look at Bernie’s record as mayor in Vermont. Despite his passionate rhetoric, he was able to work with people from both…
