She should just have admitted that she no longer wanted to deal with the dogs, and given you or one of her children the option to step in. What she did just is insanely heartless and wrong.

I don’t understand her rage, either. It seems like you came to a fair arrangement, and she got to keep the house. What more did she want?

Even if there was something that justified her anger at YOU, to take it out on three innocent, harmless beings… beings that just wanted to give her love and who trusted her… that is evil.
