You know what your problem is? you are attempting to be logical, objective and unbiased when people are motivated by emotions.
But I applaud you because the only way for people to come together is to put aside knee-jerk reactions and try to put ourselves in each others' shoes.
I've also faced discrimination, but when I step back and try to put myself in the other person's shoes, the hatred dissipates. That doesn't make racism OK, but when we can understand someone else's motives we can see each other as fellow humans.
