You make some great points, but I think more important than if she's making money - what is her attitude? JMHO opinion, of course.

If she doesn't make much but is a supportive partner who helps her husband (or he's such a partner) then it can be a solid, good marriage - I have seen this in the case of both several wives I know as well as a couple of husbands.

With my BIL for example, he married a high powered executive but he was an artist who didn't make much - but he did work hard on the home front and so when she was home (she had to travel a lot) she could just RELAX. they have a happy marriage. I mean, he's done everything from bathing the dog and cleaning the house to building their porch from scratch. So he does contribute.

With a many trad wives I know - same thing.

But if he (or she) has an entitled mindset and just wants to take, take, take...
