You talk about how diversity will lead to creativity... and I agree with you, but what about diversity of thought?

In the UK, as well as most European countries, there are many political parties. I think this type of ideological diversity is a good thing.

Yet, intellectuals keep wanting the GOP to go away. Which would make America a one party state, despite the valiant attempts of the Libertarians, Greens, etc. How is that a good thing?

I mean, Labour and the Tories do demonize each other, but it's not as bad as it is over here... is it?
